Mind

In therapy, the mind is an asset. We use it to consider: What do you truly want your life to be? And what is getting in the way? But the mind can sometimes be the seat of our suffering, where self-critical thoughts, low self-esteem, mood disorders, perfectionism and trauma flashbacks can take hold. Body

The link between our feelings and our physical selves is sometimes hard to trace. But from ancient wisdom and modern science, we know they are deeply intertwined. When we suffer emotionally, our bodies carry the load. This is especially true when trauma is in the picture. For relief to be possible, then, we must consider: How is your body impacted by what you’ve gone through? And what might it need to feel free?

Spirit

Each of us has a voice that guides toward health and wholeness. Some might call it the soul, the spirit, the heart or the Self. During times of intense overwhelm, we can lose contact with this voice. Our job at Haven is to help you reconnect. From here, we can really listen to your deepest needs and feelings. Through kind and thoughtful attention to your spirit, the trap of depression, anxiety and trauma begins to loosen and relief becomes possible.
